FAQs

How much Do You Charge?
What are your fees?

Our fees depend on what you need. We offer ongoing investment management on a tiered basis, and flat-fee packages for one-time financial planning. If you’re an investment management client, planning fees are covered.

Investment Management (Ongoing Services)

Fees are tiered. Each rate applies only to the portion of assets within that bracket.

Financial Planning (One-Time Engagement)

This is typically an 4-8 week engagement.

A fiduciary is legally required to act in your best interest, not their firm’s, not a product company’s, yours. That means recommending what’s right for your situation, disclosing conflicts of interest, and never steering you toward something because it pays a higher commission. Not all advisors are held to this standard. Here at Bridgeview Capital Advisors, Inc., we have a fiduciary duty to our clients.

Fee-only means we are paid exclusively by you. No payments from fund companies or insurance carriers. Every dollar we earn comes directly from our clients, which means our advice is never influenced by what pays us more. It’s the simplest way to eliminate conflicts of interest.

This is one of the most important distinctions in the industry and one of the most misunderstood. Fee-only advisors earn compensation only from clients. Fee-based advisors charge fees and can earn commissions on products they sell. “Fee-based” sounds similar to “fee-only,” but it isn’t. Bridgeview Capital Advisors, Inc. is fee-only.

CFP® stands for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®. It’s the most recognized credential in personal financial planning, requiring years of qualifying experience, a rigorous exam, and ongoing continuing education. CFP® professionals are also held to a fiduciary standard when providing financial planning advice. Both David N. Waldrop, President and Ashley Hamman, the Vice President of Bridgeview Capital Advisors, Inc. hold the CFP® designation.

We don’t have a formal minimum asset requirement, but we find we work best with clients who have $1 million or more in investable assets.

The first meeting is a get-to-know-you conversation. We want to learn about your situation, walk you through how we work, and make sure we’re a good fit for each other. If it feels right on both sides, we’ll schedule a second meeting.

Between the two meetings, we’ll send you a short questionnaire to gather some background on your finances and goals. That way, when we meet again, we can walk you through a preview of what our process would actually look like for you.

Absolutely. While we’re based in El Dorado Hills and work with many clients in the greater Sacramento region, we serve clients throughout the country. We’re set up to work virtually with clients wherever you are.
